In 2009, Nashville set a goal to plant 1,000 cherry trees over the course of ten years, and we achieved it! Each spring, we celebrate these cherry trees and the friendship between Japan and America with the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival. The festival begins with a Cherry Blossom Walk, followed by festivities at Public Square Park, which include demonstrations and exhibits of Japanese culture, activities for children, and live entertainment.
